When a pregnancy ends before the fifth week, it's called a chemical pregnancy. A chemical pregnancy may be indicated by a positive pregnancy test followed by a negative result a few weeks later. The majority of women who encounter them go on to have healthy pregnancies.
You can read our blog post on chemical pregnancy to understand it better and learn about its causes and symptoms.
Due to the embryo's halting growth, a chemical pregnancy terminates early. Contrary to a clinical pregnancy, when a fetus is clearly visible, this pregnancy is not clinical. This does not, however, imply that a chemical pregnancy is not genuine. It might occasionally feel more authentic when you find out you're expecting. Hearing a heartbeat is sometimes what it is, though. Each individual's perception of the event will vary. There's value in each encounter.
The precise reason why an embryo stops growing during a chemical pregnancy is unknown. The embryo probably stops growing as a result of an issue with its DNA, or genetic code. An embryo may not always attach to the uterine lining or implant as it should in order to develop. Your hCG levels decrease as a consequence, and pregnancy tests are negative.
